Haul!

We went out to Highpoint Shopping Centre in the afternoon/night and we grabbed a few bargains whilst being spontaneous with our shopping, so we thought we would share what we bought! We then had Nandos for dinner, luckily it was a Friday so all the shops closed late unlike every other day in the week. After we were done eating and shopping we went to the arcade and decided to play some games, I (Jessica) spent a fair bit of money trying to win a Despicable me minion key chain which I ended up succeeding in as you can see in the photo below. And I (Rebekah) won nothing because I am terrible, should've seen the score difference on the basketball game haha.

Below are photos of what we got :)

Fluffy jumper - Glassons $30
Bourjois bronzer - Asos $14
Mac Pro Longwear foundation -  Myer $40/$50

I ordered the Bourjois bronzer from Asos recently and luckily it came just in time for this post so I could include it. I was inspired to purchase the bronzer because of Tanya Burr on Youtube. I had seen how lovely it looked on her skin and decided I wanted to give it a try and it smells sooo good.
The fluffy jumper is so cozy and warm, if any of you Australians live near a Glassons please do give it a feel because it feels just like cats fur if not softer.
And lastly the Pro Longwear foundation, I've already tried it and the concealer is much better. The foundation doesn't look as natural which means you look really washed out and could look cakey, but the coverage is amazing. If you have been wanting to purchase this for a while, go to your nearest mac counter and ask them to colour match you, then they will try it on you and you will be able to tell if you like it from that.
xx Jessica

Knit Jumper - Dotti Originally $60 reduced to $40
Garnier Cleansing Water - Priceline $11.99
Compartments - Daiso $2.80 each

Oh the joys of having a job right, its literally life changing, I got a a job about 5 months ago and the ability to shop is just magnificent.
I realised my wardrobe was really missing a knitted jumper, its ridiculous that I did not own one. Dotti had a sale and I have always eyed off their knitted jumpers but the price had always turned me off however the sale was so pressuring that I finally got one! Its incredibly warm and the only thing that I could say is bad is it sheds so much and it will be all over your top underneath and you would have to wear a light type of pants so not leggings basically cause its just crazy. I am hoping after a wash or a few the amount of wool that comes off isn't bad.
Not long ago I purchased the Maybelline mega plush mascara which is so impossible to remove with just water and my lack of patience and energy to put in extra effort to remove it was just a chore. This new Garnier cleansing water claims to remove make-up, cleanse and sooth the face, eyes and lips and you don't need to rinse it off which meets all my expectations cause its fast and easy and doesn't require much effort and from what I have experienced so far it works.
I don't own that much make-up and its all stuffed in the tiniest makeup bag which was just getting too full and not practical and Jessica has these exact compartments and they are cheap and I will hopefully find a place to now store my make-up in a better way and if I do there sure will be a post about it ahha.

The Fun Of Looms!

I recently purchased a packet of loom elastics because I have seen so many people doing it at school and online.  I quite prefer creating the bracelets on my fingers rather than on the loom board, I noticed on tutorials I have seen that majority are done on the loom board so this post is showing you how to produce an inverted fishtail loom on your fingers!
First you may like to separate the colours you would like to use into piles, I used the colours turquoise and purple and had 15 elastics of each colour, you will also need the S shaped clip to lock the bracelet once you have completed it.
To start off, select the colour you would like to start with and cross it between your pointing and middle finger on your preferred hand, to create a 8 shape.
Next place 2 more elastics onto the fingers (uncrossed) , and leave gaps between them so they don't get twisted up.
Grab the bottom elastic and pull over your finger and let go once it is in the centre (just how you would for a normal fishtail loom) , do this to both sides of the elastic.
(Sorry for the lighting change, my memory card was full so had to change camera)
On the left picture we have added another elastic onto the top. Now grab the second elastic and pull it down to below the third one then grab the second elastic and pull above the first elastic over the finger and down the centre. Do this to both sides.
You will then just repeat this step over and over again, remember every time you put an elastic down the centre you then add another one to the top, you may like to create a pattern and you can use as many colours as you like.
It will end up looking like this once you have used up all your elastics and have no more to add to the top. To finish it off grab the second elastic and place it down the centre.

Then you grab your 'S' clip and put both sides of the elastics on your fingers onto one end of the S clip and then connect the other side of the 'S' clip to the loop at the end of the loom from the first elastic you started with.
I hope you like your finished product!

I would recommend picking these up, they are a lot of fun and bring back memories from the scoobie stages, its definitely a good bonding activity to do with siblings, my brother and sisters are obsessed! I got my packet from a $2 Store, and a different packet from Kmart, but they are honestly everywhere, so you shouldn't have trouble finding them.
I hope you enjoyed this post! :)

Learn A Little About Us

Hey Guys!
After months of contemplating whether to create a blog or not, we have finally decided to do it. Although creating a title and url wasn't easy, we thought that 'Create your life with Jess & Bek' was appropriate as we are firm believers that you chose who you want to be and you find your way in life with a little bit of guidance from those surrounding you.
We thought it would be a good idea to start our blog off with just a short post sharing a little bit of info about us just so we can started on a somewhat personal level haha, hence the title 'Learn a little about us'.

Originally we were thinking about doing two short little posts getting to know one of us separately, but then we realised the two little posts would pretty much be identical as we are very similar.
